Let there be no confusion: A non-surgical facelift does not even begin to yield results approaching those after true surgical facelifting. It is more of catchy term that denotes combining any number of non-surgical spa-level methods to rejuvenate the skin by addressing skin tone, tightening, and smoothness.

The combination of procedures used will vary doctor to doctor.

Here's an combination of techniques that might be called a non-surgical facelift: photofacial, infrared skin tightening, and microdermabrasion. All are described in more detail in this Medical Spas Section. Sometimes, a little BOTOX ® or dermal filler may be thrown in for good measure.

Often advertised as "revolutionary," a non-surgical facelift clearly isn't. Real facelifts are not performed at medical spas.
