Medical Spas > Mild Chemical Peels

Light (meaning "weak") chemical peels are generally accomplished using either glycolic acid, lactic acid, Jessner's solution, or very low concentrations of trichloroacetic acid. They peel away only the most superficial layer of the skin and are usually delivered in series of three or more typically spaced at one months intervals.

Why Do It?

Often called "lunch hour peels" or freshening peels, don't expect much more from mild chemical peels than you would from any standard day spa facial. Your skin will look a little fresher and feel a little smoother for a few weeks.
