Skin Care > Wrinkling and Cosmetics
Wrinkles are primarily caused by repeated movements like smiling, age-related loss of subcutaneous fat and skin collagen, age-related loss of elasticity with skin stretching, chronic damage from ultraviolet radiation in sunlight, smoking, all of which interact with one of the biggest determinants, heredity.
Creams and lotions claiming to eradicate wrinkles are big business but achieve little more than a slight increase in skin hydration and nothing at all in the way of real structural improvement that can be long-lasting.
Keeping well-hydrated by drinking lots of water will achieve about this same level of improvement.

|
For true wrinkle reduction beyond simple coverup, some level of professional medical intervention in required.
Various options from prescription-strength creams to injectables to skin resurfacing to surgical skin removal are reviewed in the first four Sections that can be accessed immediately above.
So there you have it. If you're still hoping that some new miracle moisturizer you heard about on television is just as good or better, you're now operating in a state of denial.
