Skin Care > Treating Sun Damaged Skin

If you've spent too much time in the sun without adequate protection and now have sun-damaged skin, simply avoiding more sun is not going to restore your previous skin texture or pigmentation.

Neither is applying cosmetic lotions and potions, no matter how modern or advanced or expensive.

Once you've tanned your skin into leather (although hopefully it's not that bad), you need to start looking into treatment options far more powerful than topical creams that barely penetrate the skin's outer layer.

While a prescription agent such as a retinoid may be enough, most likely you will derive far more benefit from some sort of skin resurfacing.
