Eyes > Eyeglasses and Frames
If you wear eyeglasses, the frames you choose should flatter your natural features. Think of them as a fashion accessory as much as a vision aid, because they happen to be the first thing people see when they look at you.
Most say that eyewear should repeat your best facial feature (fabulous green eyes, green frames), that a frame shape looks best if it contrasts with your face shape (round face, narrow frames; oval face, wide frames), and that overall frame size should be in scale with your face size.

Colors are important, too. If you have natural cool toned skin and hair, stick with a cool colored frame (for instance, black, blue-gray, plum, pink, etc) to complement your natural color base. If you have warm coloring, select a frame in that range as well (for instance, camel, khaki, gold, peach, off-white, bright red, etc).
A good optician is as important as your aesthetician. Select one who seems to have good fashion sense, patience, and a wide variety of quality stock to choose from.
